NCN June - "In Person" Meeting

 Our 1st in person North Coast Needlers meeting in more than a year!  Woo Hoo!  It was so fun to see friends and smiling faces, to exchange greetings and stories and most of all share quilting and sewing projects that we have been doing at home. So much to talk about, so much to share with our friends.

Pins and Needles representatives  spoke on Accuquilt fun!  We learned about all the advantages to help make quilting easier and more fun!  Who know that you could die cut fabric so easily!

March was a hoot with guest speaker, Maxine Rosenthal.  She spoke to us about her passion with One Block Wonders series of books, so many possibilities!

NCN August zoom meeting

 North Coast Needlers had a zoom meeting in July to check in with members on how we all were doing, after cancelling meetings April - May due to Covid.  Then in August we had a meeting and a member "virtual" show and tell.  It was a fun event to see folks and what they have been doing since March.  It was a delightful display of talent and fun! Below is a sample of the glory. Thank you member Ron S.for creating the powerpoint of quilts.

It appears we will be stuck in this pandemic for months to come, so the executive committee has decided to change our dues to $10 for the next 6 months ending on February 9. After that we will evaluate our meeting situation and charge further dues accordingly. We plan to have our meetings and programs on Zoom and even workshops. The workshops will have a cost for those involved as usual. Martha will be emailing membership forms which you can print out and mail with your dues to NCN Membership at PO Box 450952, Westlake, OH 44145.

April Meeting Canceled!!

North Coast Needlers meeting Tuesday, April 14th canceled due to social distancing for coronavirus.

Please take care of yourself and your families. If you are in need of anything, do not hesitate to reach out to your friends, including your quilting friends. We all need to come together and help each other, with caution.

March meeting 2020

March meeting was filled with lovely show and tells, talk of future events and a new Raffle Quilt.   Guest speaker was Cynthia England. 

NCN Raffle Quilt -members of the guild will be selling raffle tickets at upcoming quilts shows and upcoming events!  Beautiful!  

Our speaker for the meeting was Cynthia England.  She was so fun and entertaining.  She brought with her so many of her lovely quilts.  Cynthia is a fiber artist, pattern designer, and author.  She developed a technique called "Picture Piecing".  What a pleasure to have Cynthia as our guest at the meeting.  https://www.englanddesign.com/
